Kent’s Player of the Year
Players taking part in the eligible tournaments listed below will be entered automatically into the Kent Player of the Year trophy race. Points earned in those tournaments plus other non-eligible tournaments run at the weekend will count toward each players total.
16 and under
Player’s are only eligible to win this trophy if they were 16 or under on the 1st January, 2008. Players who’s 17th birthday falls in 2008 are still eligible to win. This trophy will be discontinued until the number of younger players rises.
Limited/Constructed
As the player of the year trophy however only the tournaments of the relevant format will be counted.
Most Consistent
The points for this award will be calculated as an average of all points won by each player. To be eligible to win this award you must play in at least 7 of the tournaments listed below. This trophy may not be presented in 2008.
Gravesend
Points are only taken from sanctioned events run in Gravesend on a Wednesday night.
Currently, the Player of the Year points total is calculated by adding all the points earned in the Swiss rounds of all tournaments run in Maidstone and Gravesend at weekend tournaments. The Constructed and Limited Players of the Year are calculated in the same way counting only the relevant format events.
The Gravesend Player of the Year is worked out using the points earned during the Swiss rounds of the regular tournaments run in Gravesend at the Wednesday club. This will not include the nationals preparation drafts.
