Kent’s Player of the Year Trophies
Players taking part in the eligible tournaments listed below will be entered automatically into the applicable Kent Player of the Year trophy race. Points earned in those tournaments will count toward each players total.
Kent Player of the Year
All eligible weekend events (see below) will be included for this trophy.
16 and under
This uses the points from the Kent Player of the Year Trophy race. Player’s are only eligible to win this trophy if they were 16 or under on the 1st January of the current year. Players whose 17th birthday fall during the year are still eligible to win. If the number of U17 players in the county is too low the organisers reserve the right not to run the trophy.
Limited/Constructed
As the player of the year trophy however only the tournaments of the relevant format will be counted.
Most Consistent
The points for this award will be calculated as a percentage of potential points. To be eligible to win this award you must play in at least 8 eligible events in the year. This number is calculated as 20% of the previous years events.
Gravesend
Points are only taken from sanctioned events run in Gravesend on a Wednesday night.

Currently, the Player of the Year points total is calculated by adding all the points earned in the Swiss rounds of all tournaments run in Maidstone and Gravesend at weekend tournaments. The Constructed and Limited Players of the Year are calculated in the same way counting only the relevant format events.
The Gravesend Player of the Year is worked out using the points earned during the Swiss rounds of the regular tournaments run in Gravesend at the Wednesday club. This will not include the nationals preparation drafts or any other non-regular draft.
